FAQ
Plain answers.
- Is this physical therapy?
- No. This is personalized strength and fitness coaching, not physical therapy or medical care. Your coach is a licensed physical therapist and Doctor of Physical Therapy, but she is working with you in a fitness-coaching capacity. You are not becoming a physical therapy patient, and this program does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. If something comes up that needs medical or physical therapy evaluation, we’ll recommend that you see an appropriate healthcare provider.
- Do I have to be a certain number of weeks postpartum?
- There is no specific postpartum cutoff. This program is designed for women who are ready for general strength and fitness training rather than postpartum rehabilitation. If you have symptoms, medical concerns, or need evaluation or rehabilitation before beginning a fitness program, we’ll recommend that you see an appropriate healthcare provider first.
- I already work out. Is this still for me?
- Yes — that’s most of the room. If you’re working out and not sure you’re actually progressing, you need a plan and someone watching the film.
- Is there a call every week?
- No. You get a 60-minute kickoff, a 30-minute midpoint around week 6, and a 30-minute graduation call at week 12. Weekly check-ins are a short written form, plus video form review and weekday messages. That keeps the coaching real without another meeting on your calendar.
- Home or gym? How many days?
- Either, or both. Usually 3–4 days a week, built around what you can actually protect and the equipment you have.
- What happens after 12 weeks?
- The graduation call includes a roadmap for what comes next. An optional lower-touch continuation membership is planned for later — it is not part of this first cohort.
- I’m pregnant. Can I join?
- Not this program. The Mom Load is general strength and fitness coaching for moms who are not currently pregnant. It is not prenatal coaching or prenatal physical therapy. If you’re pregnant, work with your own healthcare provider on what’s appropriate, and apply later if you still want 1:1 strength coaching.
- Do you take insurance?
- No. Private coaching, billed as coaching. We don’t bill medical insurance.
